Claire Sherwood's Art
I think Claire Sherwood's art was pretty straight forward from the beginning but when she explained were her inspiration came from it made it more interesting. I really enjoyed looking through her artwork and I can definitely see myself buying one of her pieces. I also liked how she specified which type of frosting she used (Betty Crocker) and how it turns into rock after a couple of days. Her kids were also adorable to meet and watch. I think her art clearly stands out even though she is a mom and people underestimate that.

5. It would be cool to hang the horizon sample pieces in a play room.

Jason Hackett's Art
Jason Hackett's artwork was very different from Tim and any artwork we've seen. I think he wasn't that deep with his explanations because he mentioned that his art was made for people to interpret it their own way. Although, he did point out that ceramics and gold are his favorite mediums to work with and that he doesn't make art to sell. I still think his pieces are a little bit weird but I really like the Gone with the Wind and the plates series in it. I thought that was very creative and meaningful at the same time.

Five Questions and Five Observations

1. Are all images imprinted on the plates, or have you imprinted them yourself?
2. Where do you get inspiration to do these types of sculptures?
3. Why do you cover faces or why do you cut them out?
4. Does he only make sculptures?
5. What do the continuos hexagon appearances mean?

Observations
1. The author uses a lot of gold and religious figures.
2. Most of his pieces are things or frames that can be hung on a wall.

4. His pieces look as if they were from the Medieval or Gothic Art Era.
5. Most of his pieces look similar.

Tim's Art
After skyping with Tim the author of such bizarre yet incredible artwork, I could understand were many pictures come from. He was really nice and explained every detail of how some pictures were many. Unfortunately we didn't have time to listen to the story of every picture because according to what he says they were quite and adventure. His artwork isn't as mysterious after all, because it all has meaning. I also liked how he opened to the class to share personal stories and how he wants to be a better parent. I enjoyed the conversation and it really cleared my mind about the photographs.

Five Questions and Five  Observations

200-250 Words for Caption for the Image

1.  I notice that in the picture there is everything that can be found in a grocery store.  From Detergent all the way to cereal, water, and toothpaste.  I think this might have been taken from the front counter of the store.  They were probably standing on top of the counter so that they got this view.

2.  This image is overwhelming and a lot to look at.  It even gives the feeling of dizziness at times.  This photograph makes me think that as American's we have too much to choose from.  From a distance it somewhat looks like lego blocks and something put together.  The people are just standing there as if they are lost.
3.  Before the photograph was taken, the place was probably full of people, and for more of an effect, the photo shows something full when no one is there for the most part.  What might happen after the photo is taken might be another crowd rush.
4.  I think the photo conveys that as society we have too much to choose from and that we are all about brands.  The meaning is with all the choices, and the few amount of people, that as Americans, we waste what isn't ued and there is never enough.  This photo without saying anything truly shows that America has become one big brand and once your on a shelf, your just another item that someone can just look past.

Favorite Color

Why is this my favorite color?

The color I choose is magenta. Magenta has been my favorite color since I was a little girl. The color can be combined with white, navy, and gold, which are all my favorite combinations. I also think the color is very exciting and catches your attention easily. I consider myself to be a girly girl, so a tone of pink like magenta definitely suits me.
